Dundee High School Games Day With the matric farewell on the way the grade 11’s come together to fundraise funds to support them, while offering everyone a great time.
On the 18th of August 2022, Dundee High School filled the school grounds with laughter and fun activities for everyone to enjoy. There were prizes to be won and game for people of all ages. They had a game for everyone… If you prefer to be outside and play sports like the (insert team that won) that won the hockey tournament, there was a game for you, or enjoyed your time indoors playing video games, they were available as well!
Everyone was welcomed, young children enjoyed the jumping castle after a long day at school, others had the opportunity to target shoot for the first time. With the chance to knock your friend down at pillow fight, beat them at sack racing, or better yet win together in a three legged race. What is there to miss or not enjoy?
Dundee High School had it all, jump rope, hopscotch, musical chairs and so much more… Everyone there would agree that the day was well spent, and the credit all goes to the grade 11’s and their educators for organizing such a fantastic event… The money raised all goes towards the matric farewell of this year. DHS SOCCER AGAINST SAREL
On the 18th August 2022, the Dundee High School Soccer teams were able to play exceptionally well against Sarel. Our players were excited and ready to take on their opponents. The First Girls’ Soccer team played the first match of the day. It was an incredibly difficult match as you could see that they had left everything they had, on the soccer field. Regardless of the difficulty of their match, they were able to obtain exceptional results with the match ending in a draw of 2 – 2. The goals were scored by Asemahle Mbatha in the first half and Sisanda Nxumalo in the second half of the match. A special thanks to their coach Sifiso (Mqeqe) for keeping them fit and motivated during the season.
The second match of the day was played by the 2nd team boys which ended in a 0 – 0 draw. The last match of the day was played by the 1st team boys and it was definitely the game to watch. All the boys were playing soccer of a high and professional level where they displayed their excellent skills. Although they were not able to come off the field with a win, we are proud of what they accomplished on the field. They lost the match 1 – 0. Reporter: Kwanele Mtshali
